Matured initially in American oak ex-bourbon casks, followed by the rich influence of first fill Spanish oak butts.Balblair distillery is the oldest working distillery in the ancient heart of the Highlands. Here, they have been crafting their award-winning whisky since 1790, longer than anyone else in the region.

Finlaggan single malt is named after Finlaggan Castle, the seat of the feudal Lord of the Isles in the loch of the same name found in the north of Islay. Finlaggan is a mystery malt and the identity of the producing distillery is, as you’d expect,jealously guarded by the brand owners, The Vintage Malt Whisky Company.

Hand-craffed using the finest Kentucky and Indiana corn, selected rye and superior malted barley, it is aged in new oak barrels for at least 8 years; small batches are then selected from the premier ageing slots for each production.

This exquisite, triple-distilled single malt is matured only in select handpicked Spanish sherry butts which have previously been seasoned with the finest Oloroso Sherry.
