Matured for 10 years in Bourbon casks. An aged Single Malt that is the entry to Bladnoch’s range of limited releases. Non-chill filtered and bottled at 46.7% ABV for full Single Malt character. From one of the few Lowlands distilleries and the southernmost in Scotland.
Originally filled into ex Bourbon barrels in 2001, our Bladnoch 17 Year Old was disgorged and re-filled into ex red wine casks over two operations in March 2016 and January 2017. A blend of two vattings, this smooth expression is bottled at 46.7% and is non-chill filtered.
Matured in a unique combination of 1st fill Bourbon and 1st fill Sherry casks for notes of fresh apple, sweet floral grass and hints of chocolate. ‘Vinaya’, a Sanskrit word meaning respect and gratitude, pays homage to the original founders of the distillery who paved the way, as Bladnoch looks forward to an exciting new era of production and innovation.

The legendary Black Bull Blended Scotch Whisky returns with this special limited release containing a choice selection of 10 year old single malt and single grain whiskies from Scotland’s finest distilleries. This Black Bull 10 has then been finished for a period of 16 months in ex-rum casks from Brazil, Barbados, Jamaica, Guatemala, Guadeloupe and Fiji.

Our Master Distiller, Billy Walker, works with niche producers from around the world and sources small batches of outstanding casks that will complement the GlenAllachie spirit.This gorgeous ruby red malt has been matured for over eight years in American Oak Barrels. It was then re-racked into vintage, premium Ruby Port Wood Pipes which developed the flavour depth and complexity, adding vibrant fruit flavours. Regular monitoring ensures we achieve the perfect balance between wood and spirit influence whilst preserving the whisky characteristics.
