This globally awarded, single grain whiskey has been aged twice – first in American oak Bourbon barrels and again in Spanish oak Oloroso Sherry barrels.
It will make you think twice about Irish whiskey.
While the Bourbon barrels brings a sweetness and smooth vanilla notes, the Oloroso casks layer on depth of dried fruit and Spanish oak spices.
We like to drink it neat, on ice, or with soda. For a delicious Double Barrel cocktail, try The Lough Inn recipe.
A brand new Sherrywood Grand Cru finished whisky at 46%. The 7th in our ‘Icons of Wales’ series celebrates Rhiannon, a powerful enchantress and horse goddess from the ancient Welsh folk tales, The Mabinogi, which were written in the 11th century and are some of the earliest writings in Europe. More recently Rhiannon featured in the wonderful song of the same name by Fleetwood Mac.
From our stills, to barrel, to bottle, Tullibardine Double Wood Edition, has been crafted from whisky aged fully in first fill Bourbon casks, which has then been married with stock which has had a second period of maturation in first fill sherry casks.
