The Maison DARROZE presents a unique creation with the Brandy Borderline Finish Chardonnay, an exceptional spirit produced in an ultra-limited edition of only 848 bottles. Crafted from a meticulous selection of Armagnacs from the 2018 harvest, this bold brandy pushes traditional boundaries. Its innovative finish in Burgundy Chardonnay barrels gives it a unique personality, subtly marked by fresh and fruity notes. With its bright golden-yellow color and elegant brown highlights, it captivates as much with its appearance as with its aromatic complexity. However, this spirit cannot be marketed under the "Armagnac" designation due to its final aging in an unconventional barrel.
TASTING NOTES :
NOSE: The nose opens with refined delicacy. The finish in ex-Chardonnay barrels reveals subtle aromas of fresh walnut and verbena, enhanced by a discreet hint of anise. Gradually, a fruity and spicy complexity develops, with pronounced notes of peach, citrus, vanilla, and cumin.
PALATE: On the palate, the Brandy Borderline is equally complex and captivating. Flavors of dried fruits are accompanied by fruity nuances. The richness of its texture and flavors is magnified by the influence of the Chardonnay barrel, which brings elegance and balance.
FINISH: The finish is long and vibrant, marked by a gentle aromatic persistence where the notes of fruits and spices blend harmoniously.

Etsu is one of the first Japanese gins on the market. Etsu means "PLEASURE" in Japanese. This gin was developed by the Asahikawa distillery in Hokkaido, following the story of an ancestral Asian recipe that requires various herbs, spices, and citrus fruits, some of which can only be found in Asia (berries, peppers, citrus fruits...). The distinctive feature of Etsu gin lies in the persistent presence of orange and yuzu peels, the latter being a yellow citrus fruit very popular in Asia.
