This 7-year-old Irish Single Malt whiskey from Glendalough in Wicklow was matured in American Bourbon barrels and finished in Japanese Mizunara barrels from Hokkaido, in the volcanic north of Japan. The Mizunara barrels were custom-made for this project by skilled coopers in Japan. The exceptional combination of Irish whiskey in Japanese wood barrels makes it a very interesting whiskey.
TASTING NOTES
NOSE The whisky is vibrant, fruity and floral on the nose, benefiting from a luxuriously smooth mouthfeel with notes of dark chocolate orange, sandalwood and cinnamon.

FINISH Glendalough's Mizunara 7yo single malt enjoys an exceptionally long finish of toasted oak and oriental spices, with dark chocolate lingering even longer.
