Canteiro aged Madeira casks from off the coast of Africa which held Madeira fortified wine, soak up and impart intense aromas and flavours created by the heat and tropical climate of their home-place.
TASTING NOTES:
NOSE: Rich in raisins, exotic fruits, mango, pineapple, orange zest, and marmalade.
PALATE: Light and lively. Rich and rounded with raisins, notes of black cherry and plum, vanilla, and sweet grains with peppery spices.
FINISH: Black stone fruits, oak spices, and a light nutty note.

The Matsui The Peated Single Malt is distilled by the Kurayoshi distillery Kurayoshi city Tottori prefecture. Double distilled in pot stills then aged in American oak in the Tottori prefecture, in a natural environment very favorable to a good aging It is then diluted down with high quality natural spring water from Mont Daisen.
This whisky was distilled on on 26th March 2010 and aged in a single ex-PX Sherry cask #804032 for 13 years.
