The Pokeno Winter Malt is the second edition in the Exploration series, a bold range of single malts crafted by the New Zealand Pokeno distillery.
This whisky, a true celebration of local terroirs and craftsmanship, stands out for its unique use of four carefully selected types of malt.
Aged exclusively in first-fill bourbon barrels, it offers remarkable aromatic richness where gentle smoke meets chocolatey and caramelized flavors.
Unique characteristics of the malts used:
- Manuka Smoked Malt: The only malt in the world smoked with the Manuka tree, native to New Zealand. It brings a soft, sweet, and floral smoke.
- Chocolate Roasted Malt: Roasted at high temperatures, it develops deep aromas of dark chocolate and coffee.
- Toffee Malt: Roasted at very low temperatures, then caramelized, this malt delivers notes of honey and butter caramel.
- Laureate Distillers Malt: A very soft and floral malt.
TASTING NOTES:
NOSE: An elegant, sweet, and honeyed smoke intertwines with rich aromas of chocolate caramel, vanilla pod, and caramel.

Mermaid Zest Gin is an aromatic and tangy infusion of Mermaid Gin with summer citrus and wild foraged coastal plants. Grapefruit and cascade hops are blended with island bergamot, lemon zest and rosemary, "the dew of the sea", then distilled and infused with the signature gin. The result is a zesty and fresh spirit with a hint of sea air. Rebel Yell was the first American distillery to substitute wheat for rye in 1910 to create a Bourbon with a sweeter palate and notes of vanilla and toffee. Today, Rebel Yell is made under license at Heaven Hill, one of Kentucky's oldest distilleries, still using the original recipe that earned it a double gold medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2011.
