Coloma Coffee Smoked 8 years old is a true ode to the Colombian traditions of coffee and rum. Produced at Hacienda Coloma, this unique cuvée blends the heritage of roasted coffee with the elegance of a carefully aged old rum. After aging for 8 years in oak barrels, this rum undergoes a double finishing process: first in barrels that previously held a coffee liqueur, then in barrels infused with the deep aromas of roasted coffee. This noble, carefully distilled and matured fruit brandy from Williams pears captivates the senses with the unmistakable aroma of this fruit. The Williams pear is cultivated in Switzerland in the canton of Valais and is one of the most popular pear varieties. Thanks to its powerful yet elegant aroma, it is ideal for the production of pear brandy. The freshly distilled Williams pear brandy first rests in stainless steel tanks for at least two years and then matures in oak casks for 14 to 18 months. After the maturation process, the pear brandy is further refined with a homemade bonificateur to give it the wonderful aroma and subtle sweetness, which makes this Vieille Poire so unique.

The rum is aged using the solera process for aging spirits, in which barrels containing older spirits are “topped off” and married with younger spirit from other barrels as the angel’s share takes its toll. Afterwards the rums blended are aged again in Single Malt Scotch Whisky oak barrels for at least 6 months. By the time, the rum is bottled. “Rum Cañero Finnished Malt Scotch Whisky” has been created personally by the great RUM MASTER JUAN ALBERTO ALVAREZ, professional with huge experience on the Rum Art, which has been developed among very well known distilleries throughout all Caribbean.
