This noble, carefully distilled and matured fruit brandy is made from the old apricot variety «Royal Luizet» and captivates taste buds with its fruitiness and its fine and appreciated almond note.
The freshly distilled apricot brandy first rests in stainless steel tanks for at least two years and then matures in oak casks for 14 to 18 months. After the ripening process is complete, the apricot brandy is further refined with a homemade bonificateur extract to give it the wonderful aroma and subtle sweetness, which makes this Vieil Abricot so unique.
NOSE Soft herbal notes to fresh cut grass and grape skins, combined with hints of citrus fruit and pear notes, mixed with sweet pastry aroma and strong presence of cacao and chocolate.
TASTE Fresh green grapes, delicate pastry notes, bitter chocolate, cacao and nutty notes of almonds, walnuts and pecans.
FINISH Very light and soft texture combined with very aromatic, elegant and lingering finish.
