Sampan Cellar Series Cognac Porto Cask
Part of the Cellar Series 2019, this exceptional rum from Distillerie d'Indochine in Quang Nam, Vietnam, boasts an ABV of 45%. Reduced with osmosed water to preserve authenticity, it undergoes a 96-hour fermentation in thermoregulated stainless steel tanks and column still distillation. A tropical aging process of 36 months in ex-Cognac casks, with a 4-month finish in ex-Porto casks, results in a limited production of 470 bottles.
Tasting notes
Nose
Sweet oaky and toasty. Long and vivid candied fruit aromas lingering with complex mocha fragrances.
Palate
Sweet and complex. Long and intense in mouth with candied fruit on the background. Rich and generous.
